Seventeen years ago today a disappointment by the name of Casey was born. Today I was looking back at my old instagram pictures (I know, cringe) and found a picture from my birthday exactly 1 year ago. I was looking at how much I’ve changed on the outside and realised how much I’ve changed on the inside too. I’ve been exposed to such things that have changed my social views, my political stance, and my own personal happiness. I’ve not only “glowed up” physically ( if you can even call it that because I’m still ugly lol), but I’ve also improved as a person. And I feel like that is worth celebrating ♡
Aside from that reflection, I wanted to show you this look that I’ve tried out today. My outfit is a bit edgy (think 90s grunge meets tumblr emo) so I wanted a makeup look that would compliment that without being too overbearing. So here is what I came up with ♡

I don’t know about you but I really love this look. It looks so effortlessly cool and really adds to the edginess I was trying to convey with my outfit without being overbearing. Today was my first time trying out a product by NYX and I really love it. NYX was never available where I live but my local Boots just brought in a huge NYX counter so I felt the need to go out shopping!
